USA Gymnastics President & CEO Li Li Leung to Step Down
Li Li Leung, the President and CEO of USA Gymnastics, has announced her intention to resign from her leadership roles at the end of 2025. “The opportunity to lead USA Gymnastics has been the honor and privilege of a lifetime,” Leung expressed in a press release. “Thanks to the dedication of the entire gymnastics community, we are now in an incredible position as we turn our attention to the L.A casino sign up bonus no deposit. Leung took the helm in March 2019 and has led USA Gymnastics through the Tokyo and Paris Olympic Games. She has played a crucial role during what USA Gymnastics describes as a “rebirth” for the organization, emerging from bankruptcy with a renewed mission statement prioritizing athlete safety. Upon her appointment, Leung became the fourth leader of USA Gymnastics in just two years, following the aftermath of the Larry Nassar sexual abuse scandal. She succeeded Mary Bono, who resigned after just four days due to backlash from a social media post.
“Li Li was the right leader at the right time for USA Gymnastics and accomplished in six years what many thought was not possible,” said board chair Kathryn Carson in the release. “Her deep passion for gymnastics and extraordinary dedication to leading transformation has positioned USA Gymnastics to move boldly toward LA28. With this strong foundation, we are confident we will identify a leader to build on Li Li’s legacy.”
